Fan favourite returns

The Building Craftsmen Dumfries Solway Sharks are delighted to announce the return of fans favourite Joe Coulter for the 2018/19 season.

The 23 year old forward returns for his sixth season as a Shark after developing his skills as part of the Solway Sharks Junior Development Program.

Dumfries based Joe is a real favourite amongst the fans for his high energy game, skating ability and positive approach to his game and we are sure everyone will be delighted to see him return.

Coulter chipped in with 16 league points last season and will be looking to add to that this year and he will also continue his development by coaching the Solway Stingrays SNL team and preparing them in practice during the week and play with the Sharks.

Head Coach Martin Grubb commented “Joe is a player who brings energy and enthusiasm to our line up and can play in a number of roles.

“He knows what is expected of him and has been working hard in the gym with other players to ensure he is ready for the season ahead.

“We had a good chat about what is expected of him and I like how Joe loves a challenge and he will do another good job for us this year. This club means a lot to him and I look forward to having him back”.

Joe himself stated “I’m ecstatic to be back at my hometown club. I’ve spoke with the gaffer and management about the new set up for the organisation and the future of the club looks very bright and I’m honoured that they want me to be a part of it!

“I know a lot of the boys and myself included are still haunted with our early exit from the playoffs. We appreciate all the support from the fans now we need to build on last season and bring them the silverware they deserve!”

Joe Coulter’s #9 jersey is available on the owned and loaned scheme, priced at just £100 per shirt. If you are interested in this or any sponsorship options then contact
